The Machine Room produces dreamy, shoegazy pop from the cold north of Scotland which is pretty damn fantastic as far as I’m concerned. They’re releasing a four-track EP, “Love from a Distance” on the 5th of March, but for now you can listen to the whole thing on their bandcamp right…
I actually just got into Scottish Pop (Django Django), and here’s a new twinkle toe pop act from Edinburgh. Their bewitching pop, as they like to call it themselves, immediately convinced as I got my hands on their EP via Bandcamp (where you can get it). All of the tunes are catchy in their way, but most of all: very beautiful. The synths, the ‘waving’ guitars and hey, there’s cowbells in it.
